Lent is nearly here, and with it, an opportunity for reflection and service. As we prepare to enter this sacred season, we want to invite you to participate in the various events and services we have planned to help you deepen your faith journey. Whether you are new to Lent or have participated for many years, there’s something for everyone during this special time.

Lent officially begins on Ash Wednesday, which falls on March 5 this year. This is a day of repentance and self-reflection, where we remember that we are dust and to dust we shall return, marking the start of the 40-day season of Lent. Our Ash Wednesday services will be held at 11 AM and 7 PM, providing opportunities for you to join in worship and receive ashes.

For those who may not be able to attend the full service, we will also offer Ashes to Go from 12 PM to 1 PM in the church parking lot. This is a chance to receive ashes and a blessing in a quick and accessible way, whether you're on your lunch break or just passing by.

Lenten Bible Study

The season of Lent is not just a time to reflect on our own lives but also an opportunity to deepen our understanding of God’s Word. We are excited to offer a Lenten Bible Study that will meet on Wednesday evenings from March 12 to April 9. We will begin with a brief Night Prayer (Compline) service at 7:00 PM and Bible Study will follow, ending at 8:15 PM. Bible Study is also available on Mondays at 1PM. Lent is a traditional time of reconnection with God’s Word, so consider adding Bible Study as your Lenten discipline this year.

Mardi Bra Party

Before Lent begins, we invite you to join us for a fun and meaningful event, our annual Mardi Bra Party, taking place on March 2 at 11 AM during Sunday Social. This event is a light-hearted celebration where we come together to support those in need in our community. We’ll be collecting undergarments for the food pantry to help those who are struggling to afford these expensive necessities. Cash donations are also welcome and will go toward supporting this important mission.

Lent is a time to reflect, to grow, and to serve. We hope you will join us for these events as we walk through this season together.
